Big Miracles, Simple Faith: Our Shirdi Sai Baba Story

"Faith is the small seed that invites the biggest miracles to grow."

Shirdi Sai Baba is a revered spiritual saint known for his teachings of Shraddha (faith) and Saburi (patience). He guided people to trust in God, live with humility, and serve others with compassion beyond religious boundaries.

His gentle assurance, “Why fear when I am here?”, continues to inspire and comfort devotees.

1. When Baba Finds You

This article shares my personal experience of how Shirdi Sai Baba gently entered our lives—again and again—almost as if he chose us himself.

2. The First Time Baba Came Home

A few years ago, I was sitting in the back seat of a car. I had kept some of my belongings in a small bag placed in the back pouch of the front seat.

When I got down, I collected all my things. To my surprise, along with my belongings, I found a Shirdi Sai Baba photo inside the bag.

This was the very first time I had received Baba’s photo. This moment became even more special because of something that had happened the day before.

I had attended a spiritual counselling session due to some family issues I was going through. The counsellor, who himself was a devoted follower of Baba, advised me to worship Shirdi Sai Baba.

He gently told me that I already had Baba’s blessings and encouraged me to start praying to him.

The very next day, Baba’s photo came into my hands—unexpectedly and effortlessly. From that moment onward, I began worshipping him with faith and gratitude.

3. The Second Blessing: Bringing Baba into Our Pooja Room

The counsellor also advised me to buy a small idol of Baba and worship him regularly. We followed his advice and brought a small Shirdi Sai Baba idol into our home.

We placed it in our pooja room and began our prayers. This became the second collection of Baba in our lives.

Around the same time, I was also reading a book about Baba, learning more about his teachings, compassion, and the gentle way he guides his devotees.

4. Faith, Prayer, and Fulfilled Wishes

Later, my mother advised me to read the Ramayana every day, as we had certain wishes we were praying to fulfil. While reading the Ramayana, I kept two photos on either side of the book—one of Shirdi Sai Baba and the other of Narasimha.

With consistent prayer, faith, and patience, by God’s grace, all our wishes were fulfilled. This phase strengthened our belief that sincere devotion and trust are always answered at the right time.

5. Baba’s Blessings Through Our Daughter

Another beautiful moment happened when my daughter was around 10 months old. She was playing with the same spiritual counsellor I had met earlier.

He had a Baba photo in his pocket then. While playing, my daughter suddenly reached into his pocket and took out the Shirdi Sai Baba photo.

Seeing this, the counsellor once again told me that our daughter also had Baba’s blessings and encouraged us to continue worshipping him.

We lovingly kept this photo in my husband’s office room, making it another sacred reminder of Baba’s presence in our lives.

6. How Baba Gently Stays With Us

Looking back, none of these moments felt accidental. Each photo, each idol, and each experience felt like Baba choosing to come to us, reminding us of his grace, protection, and silent guidance.

These collections are not just objects in our home—they are symbols of faith, reassurance during difficult times, and gentle reminders that when devotion is sincere, divine guidance arrives on its own.

7. The Lessons Baba Taught Us

  • The Power of Shraddha (Faith) and Saburi (Patience): Through reading the Ramayana and keeping Baba by my side, I learned to wait with a peaceful heart and deep trust, just as Baba teaches.

  • Recognizing Divine Synchronicity: Finding the first photo in the car taught me that nothing in life is accidental. I learned to notice the small miracles that happen every day.

8. The Blessings We Experienced

  • Inner peace and emotional strength: During difficult family situations, I felt calmer and more balanced. Baba’s presence gave me emotional strength to face challenges with patience and faith.

  • Guidance during uncertain times: Whenever I felt confused or worried about decisions, I felt gently guided toward the right path. Over time, clarity came, and situations began to resolve naturally.

  • A calm and positive home environment: After bringing Baba into our pooja room, our home felt more peaceful. There was a sense of positivity, unity, and gratitude within our family.

9. A Gentle Realisation

Looking back, I understand that Baba did not enter our lives to change everything overnight. Instead, he changed how we felt, how we trusted, and how we walked through life.

His blessings came quietly—through peace, clarity, fulfilled wishes, and unwavering faith.

10. Trust in the Journey

I hope my story inspires you to keep your heart open and your faith strong. Whatever challenges you are facing, remember the power of Shraddha (Faith) and Saburi (Patience).

When you trust in God and wait with a peaceful heart, guidance will always find its way to you.

Believe in the power of prayer, and remember Baba’s gentle promise: "Why fear when I am here?"
