A Miracle Through the Ramayan: The Birth of Our Baby Girl
“Sri Ram’s grace turned our longing into joy, and our prayers into a daughter.”
This is my personal story—a journey filled with pain, hope, faith, and finally, a miracle.
After our first son, who is a special child with disabilities, we deeply wished to have a second healthy baby. Our journey was long and full of challenges. I went through many miscarriages. We explored every option—natural pregnancy, IVF, IUI—with hope in our hearts. I was tired and emotionally drained. Eventually, I gave up on all medical treatments, and we even began considering surrogacy.
Still, deep down, I had a strong instinct that we would have a healthy baby through natural pregnancy.
A Spark of Faith from the Past
Then, something from the past came to mind. My mother-in-law once told me that my husband was born during her fourth pregnancy, after she had gone through a few miscarriages and a stillbirth. She said she had been reading the Ramayan at that time and believed it was by the grace of Lord Sri Ram that she was finally blessed with a child.
Interestingly, Lord Sri Ram’s birth star (nakshatra) is Punarvasu, and my husband was also born under the same nakshatra.
Similarly, my own mother had read the Ramayan while praying for a baby boy. When my brother was born, my parents named him Sreeram, believing he too was a gift from Lord Sri Ram.
So, my mother-in-law and my mother received the blessings of Sri Ram—and had their heartfelt prayers answered.
My Journey with the Ramayan Begins
This gave me hope.
I decided to start reading the Ramayan too. I bought a large book and began reading—casually at first. Sometimes I read it after eating non-vegetarian food or in the bedroom. But gradually, I began to feel more connected.
I started waking up early, taking a shower, and reading in the Pooja room (prayer room) with a calm and prayerful mind.
A Subtle Shift
During this time, I began to feel a shift within me. What once brought pain and sadness slowly started to feel lighter. As I continued reading, I felt that Lord Sri Ram was gently lifting my burden and preparing me for the blessing to come.
I kept reading with faith, truly believing that He was guiding me and giving me the strength to move forward.
The Turning Point
After two years, I completed reading the entire Ramayan. Then, my mother gave me another copy and told me to read the entire Bala Kandam (the first part) every day. She had a deep inner feeling that if I did this, we would surely be blessed with a child.
In the beginning, I found it a bit challenging—it took about 90 minutes each day, and I was mainly reading because my mother had encouraged me. But gradually, I started enjoying it and made it a part of my daily routine.
A Miracle Arrives
One month later, I became pregnant again—naturally. And this time, by the grace of Lord Sri Ram, we were blessed with a beautiful baby girl.
She is now 9 months old, and every time I see her smile, I know in my heart that she is a true blessing from God.
From My Heart to Yours
I deeply believe our daughter was born through the grace of Sri Ram. My journey with the Ramayan brought me strength, peace, and the courage to move forward even in the darkest times.
